National Education Policy

Reject national education policy is a new trend that we are witnessing on social media these days. The reason provided by the manipulative group is they will have an unaffordable fee structure, impose Hindi, and will promote child labor. Is this a real fact or new fake news?

We will have a deep dive into the new education system that will bring a lot many changes in the future of the students. Here students will be given liberty to decide the stream or subject of their choice, more focus will be on physical education rather than rote learning. What will this education system give and our society will be benefited? Here are a few points to understand this well.

1. Language: - A language should be a bridge and not a barrier to your thought. Your thoughts are important to make one understand and which language is not important. We understand English gives a global outreach and job so it is important, but we should always have an option for the families if someone is not comfortable with this language. As per this policy, the students can learn any skill in their mother or local language where understanding and learning the language gap will be filled. Now agenda makers are twisting the fact stating Hindi will be implemented compulsorily but that is not true. This new policy appreciates our multi-language culture, recognizes and gives importance to the local language. As per UNESCO report languages are endangered, we have already lost 220 languages in 50 years. A language lost means ancient knowledge is lost. Our country is a Multilanguage country and this policy will give life to many languages which are now not used by local people due to obvious reasons.

As per our study, it says a child's brain works more at the age of 6 to 8 years so a kid should learn as maximum language as possible. So teaching Multi-Language to kids will be a good initiative.

2. Internship:- As per the policy students at the age of 6 to 8 will have a fun course or a course of their interest like carpeting, gardening, writing, arts, and many more. These courses were never treated as a course of skill in the old education system and have no value, but with this new policy, this mindset will change. This will make it easy for students to pick up skills of their interest in the future. Students will have practical knowledge. A bagless period will also be introduced for 10 days where kids can do internships on various skills of their choice with the help of local artists, gardeners, etc.

Our manipulative group is trying to twist the fact stating this would be child labor, but in reality, students will learn from the experts and will learn to appreciate their work.

3. Higher Education:- Indian universities can now set up campus outside India. Some of the top 100 universities will also be allowed in India. Out of these top universities, only some of them will be given rights to set up a campus in India following all the guidelines and laws. Around 7 to 8 lacs of students go out of the country for higher studies as they like to study from outside universities. This causes brain drain in our country. Our best students go abroad, study there, work there and settle there, with this our talent goes out. This new policy will retain the sharp talent of our country. Our manipulative group says education will be unaffordable. The truth here is to avoid the commercialization of education this policy is setting fee limits for different courses. Now studying from foreign countries will only be the option and not needed as a healthy competition will be provided inside our country.

4. Multiple exit options: - Today when someone leaves education in the middle due to some reason they are treated as losers, but not anymore as this new policy has come up with multiple exit options. If a person leaves their course after one year, of course, they will get a certificate for this duration, if they leave after 2 years will be provided a diploma. This does not mean they want to encourage dropouts, but if someone has left due to some responsibility they can still receive credit on the part of the course they have completed. An academic bank of credit will be initiated which will benefit people who wish to complete the course in parts.

The problem here Is not what is the policy, the problem here is who has given this policy and who will be given credit for this, and then to fulfill their own agenda this group will misguide people who are unaware of the facts.

As per the basic understanding, this change in education students is much needed and this will give freedom to students to decide their future, their destiny, their interest. We agree this policy is not perfect, but we can always have a healthy discussion on how to improvise our education by matching our current policy flaws and to match that with the vision of the new policy NEP and how to implement this. We have all the right to criticize but before we must get knowledge and facts about it to have a healthy debate.
